Join us for a screening of “Broken Places,” a powerful documentary that explores real stories of resilience in the face of childhood adversity.

After the film, Crim staff will lead a discussion about building stronger, healthier communities through collaboration, policy and systems change, resource navigation and the life-changing power of Positive Childhood Experiences.


Both sessions will be led by Theresa Roach, Crim Special Projects Manager. She is a Michigan ACEs Initiative Community Champion and serves on the Michigan ACEs Initiative Advisory Board. Theresa is a passionate champion for community well-being, dedicated to fostering healthy, mindful, and equitable spaces. Theresa also holds a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Foundations certification from Brown University, serves on the Genesee County Prevention Coalition’s trauma informed community change work group, is a member of the Flint Community Safety Collaborative and serves as co-chair of Flint Advocates and Leaders for Police & Community Trust.
