Crim Fitness Foundation to Host Third Annual 810 Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat to Support Local Mental Well-being

FLINT, Mich. – Flint and Genesee County residents are invited to the third annual 810 Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat presented by the Crim Fitness Foundation. This year, the event will take place from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the For-Mar Nature Preserve & Arboretum. This half-day retreat offers a unique opportunity to connect with others, cultivate inner peace, and support the Crim’s mindfulness and mental well-being initiatives.

New this year, attendees can participate in a mindful rock garden activity, offering a creative and grounding experience to support relaxation and self-care. The retreat will feature a variety of local practitioners guiding participants through yoga sessions, sound immersion, mindful breathing techniques, a community drum circle, and more.

The 810 Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat proudly serves as a fundraiser for the Crim’s extensive mindfulness and mental well-being work. This crucial work supports social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and trauma-informed practices across education, civic, community, health, and business sectors throughout Flint and Genesee County. By attending, participants directly contribute to fostering a more resilient and compassionate community.

“We are incredibly excited to bring the 810 Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat to the beautiful For-Mar Nature Preserve,” said Lauren Holaly-Zembo, Crim CEO. “This event is more than just a day of relaxation; it’s a powerful statement about our collective commitment to mental well-being in Flint and Genesee County.”

Registration for the 810 Mindfulness & Yoga Retreat includes a long-sleeve T-shirt (with the option to upgrade to a hoodie), free lunch, and entry to all retreat activities. Scholarship applications are also available. Spaces are limited and expected to fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.
