Crim Fitness Foundation and Mott Community College to host 3rd Annual Mott Miles Challenge: Run with the Bears

Flint, MI – The Crim Fitness Foundation and Mott Community College are teaming up once again to host the 3rd Annual Mott Miles Challenge: Run with the Bears on April 18, 2026.

This unique event is not your typical, everyday road running or walking experience. Participants have a 3-hour time window (9AM-noon) to run or walk as many 1-mile loops as they would like on a closed course around Mott Community College’s campus. All participants receive a custom long-sleeved tech shirt, a 4” finisher medal, and can enjoy the party at the finish line which will be well stocked with refreshments, music, and a cheering section! The start and finish line will offer a party atmosphere with music, donuts, snacks, and much more – all complimentary for participants.

The event even offers unique awards for fastest loop completed at any time; fastest to reach 3 miles, 5 miles and 10 miles; most loops; and there is even a cash prize for anyone who can run 26 loops in under 3 hours, completing the “Mott Marathon.” Locals Parker Austin and Jordann Jennings have achieved this honor in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

Additionally, if participants are Mott Community College students, faculty or staff, the Bruin of Club of Genesee County has generously provided for 100 scholarships that pay the cost of entry. Registration for the event can be found online at crimraces.org.

Brandon Morgan, Crim’s Director of External Relations, said, “Mott Community College and the Bruin Club of Genesee County are great partners to us and we are excited that they help us stage an event that provides something for every kind of participant. Whether you are running or walking your first-ever mile or you’re challenging yourself to more than 20 loops around the course, there is a sense of collective achievement and belonging at this event. We see participants of every age and ability level coming together for what is becoming an awesome spring tradition.”

The event is hosted by Mott Community College, presented by Innovative Wound Care, and supported by The Bruin Club of Genesee County, Universal Coating, Absopure, Patriot Ambulance, Primary Prevention Physiotherapy, and others.
