What are Crim Youth Summer Running Clubs?
The Crim Youth Summer Running program is a club-based program where youth ages 3-14 can join and learn the sport of running in a fun, relaxed environment throughout the summer. There are more than a dozen clubs located throughout Flint and Genesee County.
Most clubs meet once a week to keep kids active, teach the basics of running, and to help train for the ¼, ½ or 1 mile at the Marti Austin Kids' Classic, held the third Saturday in August. Please see table below for more information on clubs including meeting date, time and locations.
Pricing and Registration
For registration, families have three low-cost options:
Summer Running Club AND the Marti Austin Kids' Classic
$20
This includes weekly club meet-ups and a race entry at the Marti Austin Kids' Classic.
Summer Running
Club Only
$10
This includes weekly club meet-ups only. A race entry is not included.
Marti Austin Kids' Classic Only
$10
This is only the race. Participation in a summer running club is not necessary to sign up for the race.
