The Marti Austin Kids’ Classic is the official and traditional kick-off to the Crim Festival week! Taking place August 15, the Saturday prior to “Crim Saturday,” this event is the celebration of all of the hard work and dedication of our Summer Running Club participants. Each year, approximately 500 youth come to the Flint Cultural Center to participate in races that vary in distance from the Diaper Dash and Toddler Trot, to the ¼, 1/2 , and full mile.
Families have three great options for registration:

Post-race, all participants will receive a custom finisher medal, pizza, fruit, and water. Music, bounce houses, and other vendors will also be onsite. Race shirts are available for purchase.
Also, during and after the Marti Austin Kids’ Classic, join us on the Flint Cultural Center Campus (across the street from the finish line) for the MSU College of Human Medicine’s Teddy Bear Health Fair! At this free event, kids and adults can enjoy fun physical activities, healthy snacks, and meet first responders, health pros, and MSU medical students and physicians. Bring a favorite stuffed animal for a checkup and explore local wellness resources!
