Get your costume ready for the 3rd edition of the Halloween Hustle. In honor of Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad’s 50th anniversary, we are offering even more expansions and incentives! This year’s event will include the 5K run and walk, Kids’ Trick-or Trot (¼ and ½ mile distances) and the NEW, first-ever Crim Half Marathon: the Halloween Half (complete with its own Training Program, if you need it!).
The 5K course is a two-loop course through the historic, decorated village on improved gravel roads. The Halloween Half will do one lap through the village and will complete the majority of the 13.1 miles on the Flint River/Iron Belle Trail. Participants can take in views of Bluebell Beach, Mott Lake, Stepping Stone Falls, and beautifully wooded county land.
The post-race party at the Calkins Barn includes Absopure water, pizza, donuts, cider, beer garden, live band (compliments of FIM!), yard games, bonfires, and lots of fun, festive Halloween things to see. Make sure to check out how you can purchase park admission through our registration platform for after the race!
All participants receive a 4” custom medal, bib and timing tag. Trick-or-trotters will also receive a medal, giveaway, and candy bag. There will be a cap on the half marathon so make sure to sign up early!
Age group awards will be provided to men and women in both the run and competitive walk in the general and masters categories (5-year increments). Awards will also be given in four costume categories.
