CRIM LEGACY CIRCLE

Create Your Personal Health and Wellness Legacy

The Crim Fitness Foundation has evolved from a much-loved race more than 40 years ago into an organization transforming the lives of tens of thousands of children and adults throughout Flint and Genesee County through physical activity, nutrition, mindfulness and active communities programs and our community education initiative. In the process, we are also building a more vibrant and resilient community.

This type of transformation takes long-term commitment, which the Crim has wholeheartedly made. We hope that you join us in this work by making a commitment, as well, through a planned gift to the Crim. This is an outstanding way to demonstrate your leadership, create your personal legacy, and sustain the work of an organization that you believe in.

Why We Are Crim Legacy Circle Members

"We have been involved with the Crim Fitness Foundation for many years, and it is an organization that we believe in deeply. Health and wellness, not only for individuals but for our entire community, is important to both of us. We know that the Crim’s broad scope of work—physical activity and sports programs, the Community Education Initiative, nutrition education, community gardens, the race and training program, mindfulness, yoga and efforts to make sure that our built environment supports healthy lifestyles—is improving people’s lives every day. We want to ensure that this is available for generations to come, so we made a planned gift to the Crim Fitness Foundation. Our vision is to create a legacy of health and wellness that will make Flint and Genesee County a more vibrant place for many years to come."

Nick and Jeni Godlesky became involved with the Crim, as many people do, through the race and the Adult Training Program. Jeni has been a group leader for about six years, and Nick a participant. Both, of course, run the race each summer. As they got to know more about everything the Crim does, they became committed to supporting the work, both coaching kids in Summer Running Clubs and Nick serving on the board. Here is what they had to say about the Crim and their desire to create a personal legacy of health through the Crim Legacy Circle.

"As we got more involved with the organization, we discovered that the race and training program were just the tip of the iceburg. The Crim offers an amazingly broad range of programs, including mindfulness and yoga, community gardens, after school programs, the Community Education Initiative and nutrition education--just to name a few. But more importantly, we could see that this work really is changing lives. We became Crim Legacy Circle Founders because being healthy and active is so important to us personally and we see what a difference it makes for the community that means so much to us. We want this work to continue for years to come and this is our way of making sure that happens."
