FLINT, MI – Neighborhood Engagement Hub, Crim Fitness Foundation, Flint Neighborhoods United and several community organizations are working together to host the second annual Neighbors Changing Flint leadership series from 5pm to 8pm Wednesdays February 20 to March 27 at the Sylvester Broome Empowerment Village, 4119 Saginaw Street in Flint.
Neighbors Changing Flint: The First Step Is Yours will walk residents through all aspects of neighborhood revitalization, including topics such as communications, conflict resolution, goal setting, vacant lot reuse strategies, promoting health through environmental design, park improvements, funding opportunities and more.
The series will include personal stories from Flint neighborhood groups as well as presentations from community based organizations, including City of Flint Planning, Michigan League for Public Policy, Eastern Legal Services, Flint Public Art Project, Flint Neighborhoods United, Keep Genesee County Beautiful, Genesee County Land Bank, Ruth Mott Foundation, Applewood Estate, Community Foundation of Greater Flint, Crim Fitness Foundation and Neighborhood Engagement Hub.
