Frequently Asked Questions

What is mindfulness?

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment. It builds an increased awareness and ability to manage oneself, one’s relationships with others, and with their environment.

I am new to mindfulness. How can I learn more?

We welcome anyone interested in learning more to join us at any of our community events and workshops.

Is there a fee to participate in Crim Mindfulness Trainings, Workshops and Events? Do you offer scholarships?

We have free community mindfulness meditation and yoga classes hosted around the Flint area that everyone is welcome to attend. Trainings and Workshops are fee-based. Currently, scholarships are available to support youth and residents in Flint.

How could I help bring mindfulness to my school or business? Can my organization request to have the Crim deliver a training or workshop on site?

The Crim Mindfulness Initiative aims to create more mindful communities. If you are interested in hosting a mindfulness workshop or event, email us at mindfulness@crim.org and share your request.
