Join us in being of Service to Flint!

Service, its a term often used to describe giving of your time, talent, or resources to help the greater community. There are many different kinds of service, military, volunteerism, philanthropy, and then one that is critically important to the Flint Community Education Initiative, National Service, or more commonly known as AmeriCorps. The Flint Community Schools Corps is a program of 43 AmeriCorps members working to support Community Education in all 11 Flint Community Schools.  We are always looking for passionate individuals to serve with the Flint Community School Corps for a 1 year commitment to be of service to Flint kids and families! AmeriCorps members receive a bi-monthly living stipend and upon completion of a year of service a $5,920 educational award to be used for future education or repayment of student loans. Training and ongoing professional development are provided to help build skills that will last a lifetime. If you are passionate about working with kids, families, and making an impact in the community than join us!  To apply for an AmeriCorps position with the Flint Community School Corps, click here or contact Allie Herkenroder, VISTA Leader at Bring your strengths and help by being of service to Flint!
