YOU can Crim for Flint by taking steps to lead a healthy lifestyle–and in turn making our community a healthier place to live, work and play. It’s a series of small choices you make every day like walking a few extra steps, choosing the apple over the chocolate (well, maybe not every time), finding a few mindful moments in your day, playing outside (with or without a child), going for a bike ride with friends. It’s easy!
- Take a photo of yourself in your I Crim for Flint shirt and email it to us at MyCrimPhotos@crim.org, or tweet @crimfit using #icrimforflint.
- Run or walk in the HealthPlus Crim Festival of Races in Flint on August 27th. You can participate in the 1 mile, 5K, 8K or 10 mile race.
- Sign up for the I Crim for Flint Fundraiser. Run or walk the Crim wherever you are in the world. And, you can recruit a team to participate and raise funds with you.
- Simply make a donation.
- Each event and all contributions will support the Crim Fitness Foundation’s many physical activity, nutrition and mindfulness programs for children and adults throughout Genesee County.
For the past 40 years, the Crim Fitness Foundation has offered physical activity, nutrition and mindfulness programming and advocated for improved health policies — all of which has been identified as key to mitigating the effects of lead exposure. The Crim has been there for Flint in the past and will remain a part of the community far into the future.
