I moved from Maine to Michigan in 1966 and went to work for GM. I started out as a production worker, then worked my way to a position of Superintendent of Manufacturing at the Grand Blanc Fab plant and the Lansing Fab plant. I retired in 2002 after 33.5 years.

I have three grown children, (2) boys and a girl with (4) grandsons and (1) granddaughter.

I ran the Crim race for 23 years until I had a bi-lateral hip replacement, I still do the Crim but as a combo speed/race walker.I plan on walking the Crim until my health prevents me from doing it. I ran (4) marathons, Detroit twice, Chicago and Columbus once with a best of 4:32. My best time for the Crim was 66:31 in 1986.

I have been involved with the Adult Crim Training Program and as a volunteer for many years.  I feel it is more important to help others attain their goals through the Crim program than doing it for me and this is what makes the program so much fun.

I joined the Crim Board of Directors this year, 2009 and it has been a dream of mine for a very long time. I will help do whatever I can to help the Crim grow and become even better.

I am also an avid skier, golfer and spinning instructor which helps me stay fit.
