Destined For Greatness STEM Field Trip

On Friday, May 17th, twenty-one students, seven parents, and three adult chaperones attended the Destined for Greatness field trip to Detroit. The group explored Wayne State University’s campus and participated in hands-on STEM activities: CSI and a sheep lung dissection hosted by C2 Pipeline’s Innovation and Curiosity Lab. A visit to the Underground Railroad Living Museum provided a real-life experience of traveling from the deep south to the City of Detroit known to as “Midnight”. The field trip concluded with a family-style dinner at Chili’s Restaurant in Auburn Hills. Funding for this trip was provided the Crim Fitness Foundation through an Innovation Grant.
