The Crim Kids Classic offers families a day of fun and fitness. This children’s event is held in May at the Flint Cultural Center in conjunction with National Museum Day.

Children, Ages 0-12

  • Participate in the Diaper Dash, Toddler Trot, Quarter Mile, Half Mile or One Mile race.
  • Every child is a winner, receiving a Crim Kids Classic T-shirt, goody bag and medal at the finish line.
  • Fun for the whole family with exhibits and activities focusing on health and fitness.
  • Free admission to the Cultural Center attractions.

The Crim Kids Invitational, held on the Friday night before the Crim, is the culminating activity for the Summer Running Clubs. The kids and teens are invited to participate in either a short competitive run or fun run. This event gives the club members and opportunity to show off their colorful Running Club shirts and get the recognition they deserve.

The Teddy Bear Trot began in 1988 as a way to get future Crim runners involved with race day activities. This event gives families and children a race of their very own.

  • This ¼ mile run takes place in downtown Flint. Children ages 0-12 are welcome to participate and race to the finish line.
  • Ribbons are presented to each child at the finish line and kids are then escorted to the Kiddy Korral areas to be picked up by parents.
  • After the race, everyone is welcome to join the crowd at the post race party and Children’s Activity Tent.
