Childhood obesity has reached epidemic numbers and children are in need of physical activity now more than ever. As a result of budget cuts, most children do not receive more than one hour of physical education per week! Families are not comfortable allowing their children to play and be active outside, furthering the impact of childhood inactivity. In addition to inactivity, many children consume diets with little to no nutrition value, increasing the chances of obesity and related diseases.
The CrimFit Youth Program is offered year round across our community. All of the CrimFit Youth programs are activity-based, educational, and provide intrinsic motivation for every child who chooses to participate.
We invite you to donate to the CrimFit Youth Program, so we may continue to energize children and their families!
The CrimFit Youth Program is also looking for new or lightly used fitness equipment such as treadmills, cross trainers, or stationary bicycles. To donate this equipment, please contact Jeff Phegley at 810-235-3396.
