10 Mile Walk Guidelines

hapI acknowledge that by registering for the 10 Mile Competitive Walk category of my event that I am committing to  strictly walking 100% of the course with no mixing of running, trotting or light jogging. Without exception, I will walk every step from start to finish. This means that one foot must be on the ground at all times, with no excessive head bounce.  I understand that monitors will be placed along the course to ensure that all Competitive Walkers comply with this rule. If I am observed by a monitor to be running any part of the race (defined as having forward motion with both feet leaving the ground at the same time), I will automatically be moved to the Run/Walk category and will not be placed with other Competitive Walkers.
