On Saturday, August 23, 2008, The Crim Festival of Races will celebrate its 32nd running as one of the finest road races in the country. Since 1979, when Bill Sills became the first wheeler to challenge and win The Crim, wheelchair competition has been one of our proudest traditions.
The Crim is proud of its wheelchair competition. Our wheelchair prize dollars total $6,000 for hand cycle, para and quad divisions. Please download the fact sheet for details and prize dollar breakdown.
Thanks to the generous support of Michigan Sports Unlimited, a new Crim sponsor, for the first time ever, we will be able to provide prize dollars to hand cyclists in a separate division.
We will provide reimbursement for hotel accommodations to the first place finishers in each division at the Riverfront Character Inn or Holiday Inn Express. Transportation will be available to and from these hotels for ALL wheelchair athletes.
You can download a Crim Wheelchair Competition entry form, which includes an area to specify whether you are para, quad or hand cyclist.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Deb Kiertznerat (810) 235-3397 or via e-mail at dkiertzner@flint.org. We look forward to seeing you at The Crim in August.
