Glossy Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 cups fresh green beans
  • ½ teaspoon crushed garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg

Cooking Preparation

  1. Combine broth and cornstarch.
  2. Heat mixture in small sauce pan until slightly thickened.
  3. Steam green beans for 6 minutes.
  4. Toss green beans with garlic, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  5. Just before serving, brush beans with thickened vegetable stock.
