Carrots and Apples

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh carrots scrubbed and sliced
  • ¼ cup cooking liquid or 1 tablespoon margarine
  • 1 apple cored peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Cooking Preparation

  • 1. Cook carrots until almost tender, drain, save liquid.
  • 2. In large frying pan, melt margarine.
  • 3. Add remaining ingredients.
  • 4. Cover and cook over low heat until apple is tender, stir occasionally.
