Broccoli Salad

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 1 head of fresh Michigan broccoli, cut into bite size pieces
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup Michigan red onion chopped
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1 cup low-fat mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sunflowers
  • 10 slices bacon

Cooking Preparation

  • 1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet.
  • 2. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown.
  • 3. Crumble and set aside.
  • 4. Ina bowl, toss together broccoli, raisins and red onions.
  • 5. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar, vinegar and mayonnaise.
  • 6. Pour over broccoli mixture and toss to coat.
  • 7. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • 8. Before serving, sprinkle with sunflower seeds and crumbled bacon.
  • 9. Toss and serve.
