Chris Collins, Durant-Tuuri-Mott
Why did you want to serve in the role of Community Schools Director?
I have always had a passion for helping people, specifically in the area of education. I know how important having a support network is in the development of our community and I believe that I can have the greatest impact by serving in this capacity.
What are you most excited about as Community Education expands this year in the Flint Schools?
It is absolutely phenomenal that we are able to witness change around the city of Flint. I am most excited about all of the possibilities that exist with the help of all of our community partners, volunteers from our neighborhoods, and school community. With all hands on deck, we really have a unique opportunity to be an impetus for change in Flint!
Tell us something we might not know about you.
A little known fact about me is that I love to hunt and fish. Although I’ve only been hunting for two years, I can’t get enough of it!
