The Crim Fitness Foundation is seeking 2-3 Mindfulness Coaches to help deliver Crim Mindfulness programming in the Flint Community Schools and other schools/districts in Genesee County. The Mindfulness Coaches will work closely with teachers, principals, community education directors, parents, students, partners and Crim staff. The ideal candidate will have a longstanding personal mindfulness practice, be a certified yoga instructor, be a Flint resident and/or have experience volunteering or working in Flint and public school settings.
The pay for these positions is $18-$20 per hour, commensurate with education and experience. Part-time and full-time positions are currently available. This cohort is made up of AmeriCorps State and VISTA members who will provide in-school, after-school, and summer learning activities for students; and build capacity for community education in Flint Community Schools. Roles on the FCSC VISTA team include: engaging families at an FCS site through adult classes and opportunities (Family Engagement VISTA) and mobilizing and managing partners and volunteers to help facilitate adult and youth enrichment programs (Community Resource Developer). The Crim Fitness Foundation is seeking one full time CrimFit Coach and two half time Coaches, through Up2Us.
