Active Living Coordinator (LISC AmeriCorps Service Member)

The Crim Fitness Foundation is seeking a positive and enthusiastic individual to serve as Active Living Coordinator (LISC AmeriCorps) this summer. This is a unique LISC AmeriCorps service experience offers members the opportunity to collaborate with neighborhood groups, schools and local organizations to create safer neighborhoods for youth and adults.The Active Living Coordinator will work closely with the Crim-led coalition Safe & Active Genesee for Everyone, a group dedicated to creating equitable access to safe opportunities for residents to be physically active outdoors.

The member may be responsible for assisting with or coordinating activities such as Neighborhood Clean Ups, Youth and Adult Bicycle Clubs, Walk to School programs, Community Assessments/Evaluations and large Crim events.

Nutrition Program Coordinator

The Crim Fitness Foundation is seeking a qualified, organized and enthusiastic full-time Nutrition Program Coordinator to help deliver Crim nutrition programming.  The Coordinator works closely with classroom teachers, school staff, and Crim partners and program staff.  The ideal candidate will possess a four-year degree in dietetics, nutrition, or health-related subjects as well as experience in classroom management and public/private school environments.  Compensation for this position starts at $18 per hour and includes a very generous employer-paid benefit package.

Summer Associate-Americorps VISTA

During summer months, the Crim Fitness Foundation encourages healthy living through garden and nutrition programs, supporting summer feeding sites, and promoting summer learning through STEM programming and sports-based youth development. Programming includes: summer running clubs, summer sports programming and sports-based youth development, nutrition education, garden development and education, and community education in 11 Flint Community Schools.
